Together! In Tempe, Our Home Town

Jenny and Bob welcome each of you to join with us from where ever you are, with your presence and/or your good wishes at the following calendared causes and events.

Homeless Persons' Memorial Eve: 12-21-11

On December 21st, the longest and coldest night of each year, our homeless neighbors and friends, unsheltered and unprotected, are exposed to hurtful and fatal weather conditions.

BANNER FOR THE CAUSE

We encourage you to be mindful of those neighbors, (families, children, seniors, veterans), who are without homes, as we remind all Tempeans by displaying our Banner for our Cause, and by our invitation and exhortation, on behalf of Evelyn Hallman's Endowment and our Ramsey Foundation, to participate with us toward ending their homelessness. Jenny Norton or Kirk Baxter can tell you more.

MEMORIAL SERVICES

Reverend Sue Ringler of Guardian Angels Parish, I-HELP, and TEAM Interfaith will offer a beautiful Homeless Persons Memorial Eve Service at 6:30pm on 12-21 at Community Christian Church, 1701 S. College Avenue, Tempe 85281.

We welcome you to attend and we welcome you to contact Pastor Sue Ringler for more information about how you can join us as we wrap our hearts around our homeless neighbors who grieve the loss of their beloved friends.

ARTISTIC TRIBUTE

The Reverends Captains Robyn and Stephanie Bridgeo of our Tempe Salvation Army, under the guidance of the Reverends Darcy and Mike Niva, are creating a mural to memorialize our lost and departed homeless neighbors. Please visit the beautiful wall of love at the Tempe Salvation Army Headquarters, 30 East University at Myrtle Drive. We welcome you to learn more from TSA Caseworker George Eastlick.
